This course will prepare you to be the best assistant wardrobe stylist you can possibly be.  Both a thorough introduction for those with no experience and a finishing course for those already assisting; "How To Assist" covers everything you need to know and have in order to do your job effectively.  "How To Assist" focuses on etiquette, dress code, types of styling, and most importantly the process of getting a shoot done.  I will cover everything from commercial styling to celebrity and editorial.  You will get immediately applicable instruction such as how and where to build your kit and how to find grade-A stylists to assist.  There will be live demonstrations and full class participation on quickly setting up/folding down racks, proper steaming, and hanging/organizing your pull.  There will be ample time for question and answer as it is an open and interactive course. However, it is accompanied by a detailed outline so you'll see what we're going to cover from prepping the shoot to completing the returns.  There will be a different special guest speaker at each class to add a unique perspective on assisting and the Industry.  Students will need to bring 2-3 fashion magazines with them (Note: Bring magazines with models on the covers, not celebrities.)
