In this class, we'll answer all those questions and more. We will focus on fundamental, research-backed principles that you can apply immediately to start taking better control of your body.
This class is perfect for anyone who wants to feel better, look better, and get more out of their daily lives. After this class, you’ll see yourself and the world with a new set of eyes. You’ll have an understanding of nutrition and exercise that will make sure you always know what to do to reach your goals. Bonus: we’ll also show you how to stick to the right behaviors in the long term.
No prior knowledge is required. All we ask is an open mind and a desire to make some positive changes :)
This class will be taught by myself and my Fitocracy co-founder Richard Talens. Fitocracy is a social network that empowers and motivates anyone to reach their fitness goals.
The student who shows the most outstanding progress during class will get a featured spotlight on the Fitocracy blog.
The five students who have show significant commitment toward improving their fitness will receive private consultions from us to help them design customized training and lifestyle plans to optimize their results.

Brian Wang is cofounder and CEO at Fitocracy. He became interested in fitness when he realized that all the video game playing he had been doing in high school turned him into a skinny nerd who didn’t get outside very much. So he swapped his addiction for video games with an addiction for strength training and bodybuilding. Prior to Fitocracy, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and spent two years working in management consulting.
Richard Talens is cofounder and Chief Growth Officer at Fitocracy, where he leads user acquisition and engagement. He's been actively bodybuilding for over 7 years and has a wealth of experience experimenting with a variety of dietary and exercise approaches. Over time he has learned how to manipulate the human body to burn fat and build muscle as quickly as possible. His journey has taken him from obesity to a lean, muscular build.
