This class will walk you through the nuts and bolts of a fundraising campaign focused on raising money from individuals. You will sit in the director's seat as you learn how to conduct an orchestra of giving at all levels - from major gifts to next generation donors. Learn how to build a prospect list, develop a loyal base of supporters, host a successful fundraising event, and ask for major gifts. We will learn from successful case studies of national non-profits as well as the teacher's personal experiences.
About Your Teacher
Julia Levy has been raising funds in the non-profit world for the past five years. She oversees the development efforts for a $800,000 annual campaign for one of the largest student organization at Cornell - Hillel. Based in New York City, she drinks a lot of coffee with potential supporters to ask them to give. From launching creative campaigns like the Cup of Coffee Challenge to organizing fundraising workshops for fellow professionals, Julia enjoys helping people find a philanthropic fit.
