What You’ll Learn

More than 70% of first-time home sellers consider selling "for sale by owner," according to the California Association of Realtors.  If you live in Greater Boston and are curious or prepping to sell FSBO, let's turn the process into a learning adventure!

To give you confidence that you can save tens of thousands of dollars, we'll start with a slideshow / lecture entitled "FSBOs on Steriods."  Then, in subsequent weeks, we'll mix demos, peer reviews, and field trips into experiential learning.  Although not required, class participants will be asked to volunteer their homes for working sessions onsite -- think RealityTV meets FSBO support group.

At a minimum, we'll create a peer-to-peer community to share successes and turn everything else into a learning experience.

Participation will be limited to 5 to 10 households, and our goal will be to save each family at least $10,000!  If there is demand, we will teach multiple tracks.  Ultimately, our goal is to help course participants save $1 million before World AIDS Day 2012 and we encourage them to share some of their savings with non-profit organizations providing shelter for AIDS orphans,   see http://bit.ly/SaveASAP

Beginner Level

No prerequisites. Course is open to 1st time sellers, but we hope that homeowners who had an expired or canceled listing in the past also join us.

You can listen to Wendel describe his mission in this low-key, 80 second video which showcases a classroom session and screenshorts from the course http://bit.ly/RECafeVideo
