What You’ll Learn
It may surprise you how much of what you read or hear spoken of as un-cited nutritional truth is either the subject of heated controversy or been completely disavowed by the scientific community. In this class, we'll talk about why there's plenty of room for skepticism when it comes to the gospel of "good" and "bad" foods. I don't claim to know what you should eat, or to be a nutritionist or weight loss expert. But thousands of experts and most governments do, yet we don't require that they be unbiased, free from conflicts of interest, make no contradictory claims, and provide conclusive evidence in support of their conclusions. This class will give you some tools and encouragement to think critically about what you hear, especially about food as it relates to health. So armed, you'll be able to search out information and reach your own conclusions.

I am not a conspiracy theorist, and I have no interest in or qualification for attempting to convince you what claims are right or wrong in the world of nutrition. But I believe you'll find what I have to share on the topic interesting, informative, and empowering so that you can seek answers that make sense to you.
