Learn how to design and 3D-print your own pair of earrings (or any kind of jewelry) using a software of your choice: Tinkercad, SketchUp, Sculptris, or Rhino and Grasshopper. I will introduce the basics and work with you side by side to design your own jewelry.
All software will be introduced, with a focus on whatever software suits you best. Beginners welcome.
Mac and Windows users welcome.
We’ll make our 3D-printed jewelry using a material of your choice: stainless steel, sterling silver, glazed ceramic or a strong and flexible plastic available in four awesome colors.

Suitable for beginner to intermediate-level participants with a fun-loving personality. No coding or 3D-printing experience required. Knowledge of any other 3D modelling software is recommended, but not required. Two(2) student minimum per class. Two(2) student minimum per class. You are eligible for class credit or refund (minus Skillshare and Paypal fees) if you cancel or reschedule more than Three(3) Business Days before the start of class. Anything less does not provide enough time to fill your seat, and therefore is not eligible for credit or refund.
Kevin Wei is an artist and designer, adjunct assistant professor of Architecture at Columbia University, teacher at the Shapeways Skillshare School, and maker of objects for on and off the body.
