We founded For the Makers to make DIY-ing fashion-forward accessories accesible to anyone and we're using our experience working with Kate Spade, Anthropologie and Marc Jacobs to do just that.
This class will be loved by both the absolute jewelry beginner and anyone who has dabbled in jewelry but wants to up their game a bit.
What You'll Learn
We’ll start with jewelry basics including...
You’ll learn how to work with chain, cord, and stones to design and make a custom necklace.
The Project
When you leave this class you’ll have a statement necklace and tips on how to use what you learned to make endless necklace and bracelet styles.
You'll look through the resources provided to determine which necklace silhouette you'd like to make and you'll create the basic layout and measure and cut your chain. Using our wrapping, technique you'll connect the layers of chain and attach the agate and the clasp. We’ll show you ways to personalize your necklace with additional materials and possible style and color variations to build on the skills you learned.
