If you've ever said "I wish I knew how to hem my own jeans" or perhaps you remember always wanting to learn how to sew, this workshop is a great place for you to start. We want you to love sewing as much as we do at The Sewing Studio and when you leave you'll be on friendly terms with a sewing machine. You will learn sewing machine basics, including how to thread and operate a machine properly, the essential tools of the trade and watch me demonstrate simple how-to's. After a little practice in this fun, hands-on workshop you'll walkaway sporting a cool bag as well as some handy sewing skills to be proud of!

Cynthia Harvery is a fashion designer and owner of The Sewing Studio in Pasadena, California. Harvey is an alum of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) and was an instructor at the college before opening the studio. She is currently working as a career advisor. Harvey has also taught in the Sat High Fashion Design Summer Workshop.
