This workshop is very hands-on and project-based, so you'll leave with tangible proof of the skills you've learned (which should hopefully make it easier for some of you to convince your bosses to foot the bill for this experience!). Throughout this course, you'll work through your own data (or partner up with someone else if you don't have your own) to yield the following:
Over the course of our five weeks together, you'll determine your key performance indicators, learn how to manage expectations internally to source the info you need from your company, develop best practices for structuring and scoring your raw data in a way that's conducive to cohort analysis (yes, you'll build pivot tables and graphs!), discuss insights and findings, and finally build reports and recommendations for your companies.

Cassie Lancellotti-Young is a senior director at Gerson Lehrman Group's HighTable.com (still in private beta), a new startup for entrepeneurs to gather and share expertise. Until recently, Cassie was VP Marketing at Savored.com, where she managed acquisition and retention strategies, business analytics and strategic partnerships. Previously, she ran an independent consultancy that lent analytics and strategic support to a variety of online companies, including leading agencySapientNitro and several early-stage startups. Prior to that, she was an early employee atTheLadders.com, where she held a number of marketing and BD roles within the company’s consumer subscription business and was responsible for tremendous growth in revenue and readership. Cassie began her career as an analyst on the technology, media and telecommunications coverage team at Citigroup Global Corporate & Investment Bank.
Cassie graduated from Duke and holds an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College. She is an expert on data analytics (and making them digestible!) and welcomes the opportunity to nerd out with fellow quantitative enthusiasts.
