During this class you will learn the basics of true Italian cooking with an easy and typical recipe: Pasta al Sugo.
We will discuss the culture of Italian cooking culture, along with the principles that make Italian cooking so good and healthy. I will also give you tips on how to avoid inauthentic Italian food products, which are very popular in the USA.
The focus is to cook very simple and healthy recipes that most of the modern Italian people cook at home during the week - and that is very different from the way Italian restaurants prepare, cook and serve their food. Restaurant cooking is often complex because it follows old traditional recipes which focuses on making the food tasty - but this also makes it fattier and very different from home cooking.
I learned from my parents (especially from my dad, Luciano) to cook at home with seasonal and local food. That means quality and a lot of creativity, because Italians don’t follow recipes but just strict rules in choosing ingredients.
At the end of the class we will all enjoy a plate of Pasta al Sugo and we will end with a true Italian Moka Coffee, which is very different from the Espresso coffee that you can find worldwide.
Only your attention is required during this class, I bring the ingredients.
