What moves groups of people to act? We’ve all wondered how to make change on an issue we care about or sell a product we believe in. So how do we motivate people and influence key decision-makers? It’s not as complicated as it seems. Don Draper used the same tactics to sell a Jaguar as Barack Obama did to win the Presidency. This class will teach you the basics of grassroots campaigns and community organizing as you learn what it means to get organized, be creative, and focus your strategy on winning. Building and mobilizing a community is key to the success of any business, brand, or cause.

My long-term activism and passion for social change has heavily influenced my marketing style and technique. I have come to learn that community-based strategy allows people to further their cause; whether it’s a social or political issue, a business venture, or whatever it is you are passionate about.
The techniques that I have been using allow me to come up with marketing strategies that work with litte or no budget; drawing on the power of community and creative strategy to raise awareness and funds.
My continued efforts have propelled me from passionate activist to trusted professional, as I currently work as a marketing and communications and marketing strategist.
