You have a design project…  Money is tight so you can’t hire a graphic designer so you decide to DIY.  You try using silhouettes, colorful backgrounds and oversized fonts, but your designs still look a drab and unexciting? Learning how you can take your designs to the next level can be accomplished in less than 90 minutes.

This learning segment will provide you the framework for understanding graphics files, designer jargon and design concepts.  Additionally, we will review various design applications and designer resources.

By the end of this course you have a solid context for graphic design, real-world design solutions, understanding what a graphic artist does and how to communication your project’s needs so you get exactly what you want the first time around.

This segment is ideal for anyone who creates web graphics, flyers, actor and model sheets, newsletters, invitations and other graphic designs for themselves and/or their business.

Learners are welcome to BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop).  If time permits, Ninety minutes of the course will be presentation and lecture-based while the last 30 minutes will be a tips and solutions workshop where learners work on a personal design project.

Prerequisites
Learner should be comfortable using computer, previous design experience is not required. This course is ideal for anyone who is looking to learn more about graphics and design.
